Our goal is to build a large volunteer disaster reserve corps ready to respond to emergencies.  Your employees will sign up to volunteer for the local American Red Cross during times of significant disasters and emergencies:

• Employees will be asked to volunteer their professional skills in times of crisis

• No additional training is required

• The employee is asked to participate on behalf of the employer

• The employer would be notified of the need for particular areas of expertise and would contact appropriate employees for the Red Cross

• Employee receives Red Cross disaster services pin and identification

• Employer receives placard to notify the public that the company is a member of the Volunteer Disaster Reserve Corps for the local Red Cross

• Coordination is managed through the employer and an authorized Red Cross representative

The St. Clair County Chapter of the American Red Cross is currently seeking individuals from the following fields to join the Volunteer Disaster Reserve Corps:

• Food Service / Wait Staff

• Banking / Finance

• Real Estate / Surveying

• Transportation

• Information Technology

• Management / Logistic

• General Helpers / Any Assignment
