Youth Services Training

Training is important to ensure that we have the skills and knowledge to serve our community in times of need.  As a member of the Youth Services department, youth and young adults are provided with free training by professional volunteers at the St. Clair County Chapter of the American Red Cross.

The Team Leadership Team will be engaged in the following training activities:

Blood Services Training

Exposes teens to various responsibilities when working at a blood drive, included serving refreshments to blood donors, ensuring donors read the proper manuals, labeling empty blood collection bags, etc.  Note:  Youth blood services volunteers do not handle blood bags or needles!

Cultural Diversity Training

Exposes teens to social, ethnic, and other forms of diversity in school and the workplace.  Certificate of Completion issued when students finish the 2-3 hour course.

If you have any questions regarding training or instructor qualifications, please don't hesitate to call the chapter house!
